Roller Banner vs PVC Banner: Which One Do You Actually Need?
Roller banners are self-standing indoor displays for events and receptions (£75 with stand). PVC banners are outdoor workhorses fixed to fences, railings and scaffolding, priced by size.
They solve different problems. A roller banner is a self-contained indoor display — cassette base, pull-up graphic, carry bag — for exhibitions, receptions and events; ours is £75 including the stand at 800×2000mm. A PVC banner is an outdoor sheet with eyelets, cable-tied to fences, railings or scaffolding, priced by the square metre and built to take weather.

Can a roller banner be used outdoors?
Briefly and reluctantly. The cassette catches wind like a sail; a gust will take it over. Outdoor jobs are what PVC, mesh PVC (for windy sites) and rigid boards are for.
How long does each last?
Roller banners survive years of events if rolled away properly (retract slowly, keep the bag). PVC outdoors typically gives 2–5 years depending on exposure; print quality fades before the material fails.
Design differences
Roller banner: bottom ~100mm hides in the cassette, so keep content in the upper two-thirds where eyes land (design guide). PVC: bold, minimal, readable at distance — a banner is a headline, not a leaflet.
